     While working on the Web Design assignment, I personally feel like I acquired many new skills! This includes being able to properly embed a Google Calendar into the website. During my first submission, I had made an error and did not make my Google Calendar public. However, after resubmitting a token, I was able to properly embed my Google Calendar that is open to the public. I genuinely liked designing the overall website as it was a manner for me to showcase my skills and tap into my creative side. However, while tapping into my creative side, I did get anxiety on how I wanted everything to come out and look presentable yet creative! I would say that was my only “dislike” but overall, this assignment was one that I have thoroughly enjoyed thus far! I feel like this assignment has taught me how to create a website that could be beneficial in my future career.     Prior to EME2040, I had never utilized Diigo before. Personally, I was not too fond of utilizing Diigo as the way it is set up confuses me. However, as I became more familiar with the different tools, such as the annotating tools, I became more comfortable with it and found ways to incorporate it into different activities. Diigo is a tool that can be useful in the classroom as it gives students an opportunity to annotate an article or reading that is online. This not only saves paper, but it helps students become familiar with different tools that web tools like Diigo have to offer! Not only that, but it is also beneficial when working with others in a professional setting as it allows one to add notes about certain sections of an article/reading. 

        Given how technology is currently advancing in the world, it is important to incorporate technology within classrooms. Not only does this give students a chance to become familiar with technology and different softwares, but it has teachers be the driving force of technology innovation in education. As technology advances, it is important to become up to date with the upcoming technology trends in education. One website that aids in staying up to date with the different technology trends is eLearning Industry. This site provides information surrounding what educational technology is and why it is important. Not only that, but it discusses about the yearly trends in technology within education and provides brief descriptions surrounding what each trend is. Thus, this not only provides bullet points surrounding the different technology trends in education, it also provides information surrounding the different technology trends and how it is utilized within education.
